No.09-Durian typhoon is moving to the East Sea to the South West, this is a strong typhoon with the wind force near the typhoon center was at Beaufort Scale 11,12, gusting above 12. From 24 to 48 hours, No.09 continuously is moving to South West, from 10 to 15km per hour and directly influences to the coastal provinces of South Central part.

Because of the typhoon’s influence and North-East monsoon strengthen, the strong wind force at the East and between the East was at Beaufort Scale 9, 10, near the typhoon center was at Beaufort Scale 11,12, gusting above 12, high wave from 8 to 10m, heavy sea. The strong wind force at the Central part, the North of the East Sea and The Tonkin gulf, were at Beaufort Scale 7, 8, gusting above 8, dangerous heavy sea for the fishermen and boats and ships are at sea.

To deploy timely No.09 typhoon, Prime Minister requested:

1. The Chairman of People’s committee of coastal cities/provinces from Quang Ninh to Ca Mau continuously confirm number of fishing and transporting vehicles are at sea; prohibit ships and boats to the sea, at any cost, contact, instruct boats and ships are at the sea move to shelters; together take responsibility to the Prime Minister for the safe of fishermen and local boats and ships.

            Provinces for Quang Ngai to Ca Mau are ready to proactively protect typhoon on mainland, proactively deal in case of typhoon landing at port with strong wind force, heavy rainy.

2. Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment give directions to Central of Meteorology and Hydrology to continuously keep track of typhoon happening, forecast. CMH provides information about No.09 typhoon to CCFSC, news agency and related ministries/sectors to give directions and inform timely typhoon happening to locals and citizens to proactively protect.

3. Ministry of Fisheries continuously coordinates with Boarder Guard and local confirm number of fishing and transporting vehicles are at sea, at any cost, inform, instruct boats and ships move to shelters; specially, contact regularly with boats and ships are at dangerous area to rescue timely in necessary; give directions to aquaculture establishments to prevent to the typhoon.

4. Ministry of Defense performs artillery shellings and uses helicopters to patrol , informs coastal typhoon. Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Securities give directions to coastal local from Quang Ngai to Ca Mau to prepare force, ready with local deploy prevention in case of typhoon landing.

NCSR gives directions to force for search and rescue of ministries, sectors, locals prepare vehicles, on duty 24 hours, ready to search, rescue in case of happening.

            5. Ministry of Transport presides, coordinates with Ministry of Post and Telecommunication. They give directions to coastal informative television to monitor closely happening of No.09 typhoon to inform timely for fishermen are at sea; receive, deal information about boats and ships, inform timely to related offices.

            6. Ministry of Foreign Affairs presides, coordinates with related ministries and sectors to monitor closely happening of No.09 typhoon, give diplomatic notes to countries and territories in typhoon area, help boats and ships and Vietnamese fishermen move to shelter.

7. Vietnam Tourism deploy prevention to ensure safety for the tourist. Vietnam Oil and Gas Corporation gives directions to exploratory foundation, exploit oil and gas at sea to ensure safety for people, equipments and vehicles.

8. VTV, VOV, Vietnam News Agency and news agency of central and local increase time to broadcast; regularly inform happening of No.09 typhoon to ministries, sectors, locals and citizens to proactively protect.
