There is a strong typhoon in the East of Philippine islands (international name: DURIAN). The DURIAN typhoon possibly crosses Philippine to the East Sea in coming days. If it approaches the East Sea, it can endanger boats and ships, particularly boats fishing offshore.

Central Committee for Flood and Storm Control requests Committees for Flood and Storm Control and Search & Rescue of the coastal provinces/cities and relevant Ministries/sectors:

1. Inform boats and ships, particularly boats fishing offshore in the area in between Hoang Sa, Truong Sa and Philippine islands for the typhoon to monitor and actively evacuate from this area.

2. Closely monitor and confirm number of fishing and transporting vehicles at sea, the number of people on these vehicles; actively prepare direction alternatives for prevention and response to the typhoon to ensure the safety.

3. Strictly assign officials to be on duty during 24 hours to monitor the movement of the typhoon and provide timely direction as well as implement prevention and response measures in case of emergency
